About BullBenchmark
A note from the founder
BullBenchmark started as a spreadsheet I rebuilt every few months. I wanted more statistics, and a clearer view of how I was doing against the market. Am I beating the market with my strategy, or not? I wanted a number under that question rather than a feeling. What anyone decides after seeing their own number is their own business.
My solution ended up as a tool: you upload the export your broker already gives you, and it does the rest. After some finetuning I was happy with the result. It has every statistic I use to judge my own investing behaviour. And I figured, why not save other people the same afternoons and let everybody use it?
I am Stephan Kiekens, and I have been investing since 2019. The tool has already shown me that I need to adjust my strategy. My goal is to give you the same insight, whatever your answer turns out to be.

What BullBenchmark is
BullBenchmark is a portfolio tracker with one question at its centre: did your portfolio do better or worse than the market, and by how much. You upload the export your broker already gives you, and we work out what your money actually did. Next to that we build the comparison: your own deposits, on your own dates, put into an index instead. Everything else on the dashboard is there to explain that comparison or to let you check it.
Exports from DeGiro, Interactive Brokers, Trading 212 and Robinhood are read by readers tested against real files. 14 more formats, eToro among them, are recognized by a column profile, and for anything else you map the columns once and that format is known from then on. Several brokers merge into one portfolio, which is the case most spreadsheets give up on.
What it is not
It is not investment advice. We show you what your portfolio did and we never tell you what to buy, hold or sell. There is no signal, no score and no recommendation anywhere in the product, and we hold no licence to give advice.
It is not a broker either. There is no login to your broker account, no order can be placed and no money can move. The security page sets out what that means in practice, along with what an upload leaves behind.
It is also not accurate to the cent, and you should know that before you compare two screens. Brokers differ on which cost basis method they use and on whether fees sit inside it. We use average cost, we book fees separately, and we show the arithmetic, so when a number differs from your broker app you can see where the difference comes from.
How it pays for itself
One subscription, €5.99 per month or €59.99 per year, with the first 14 days free and no card asked for. There are no ads, no affiliate deals with brokers and nothing sold to a data broker. That matters for what you read on the dashboard: nobody pays us to make your result look good, so the tool can tell you that the market beat you in the years when that is what your numbers say.
Who is behind it
BullBenchmark is built and run by Kiekens Consultancy, a one-person company in the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce number 71997067, VAT identification number NL001252374B10, registered at Loopakker 1, 4824 SB Breda, Netherlands. Saying "we" on this site means that company and this product, not a floor full of people.
